Ben Le Prevost is set to compete in the National Chocolate Awards pitted against some of the best chocolatiers from around the country.

The event which is held every two years, showcases the best from the chocolate community nationally and the winning entries are awarded gold, silver or bronze placements. The competition covers all aspects of chocolate making with 14 categories; covering everything from bean to bar, and packaging to design. The rules for entry are stringent, to assure chocolate perfection and include rules such as 'no artificial flavourings or preservatives', which sits well with Ben's natural stance on chocolate making, as his products are made and blended with all natural ingredients, some of which incorporate creative and imaginative flavours.

The Awards will be judged in March 2011 by the Academy of Chocolate and a panel of esteemed international journalists, chefs and experts in the field of chocolate and food.
